Kilimanjaro & Tarangire
A Kilimanjaro Lemosho-route day hike to 3,400m, then a full safari circuit — Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti's migration plains, and the otherworldly Lake Natron — before an Arusha city tour to close, all in one trip.
Tap a day to expand it.
Embark on the scenic Lemosho Route, one of Mount Kilimanjaro's most beautiful paths. Trek through lush forests and stunning landscapes, ascending to approximately 3,400 meters. Enjoy breathtaking views with a 95% chance of spotting the majestic peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. This adventure provides an incredible opportunity to experience the mountain's beauty up close without committing to a full summit attempt, making it perfect for an adventurous yet relaxed start.
Explore this breathtaking destination, especially vibrant during the dry season. Discover majestic baobab trees, vast herds of elephants, impalas, and kudus. The Tarangire River attracts animals from neighboring regions, providing prime wildlife viewing opportunities. Spot lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and numerous other species as they roam the diverse ecosystems and iconic landscape.
Experience Tarangire both by Jeep and on foot. Enjoy a traditional game drive followed by a 2 to 3-hour guided hike with a ranger, exploring the park's diverse wildlife up close. Tarangire is a bird lover's paradise with over 545 bird species, making it a dream destination for ornithologists. Keep an eye out for vibrant birdlife and fascinating creatures in their natural habitat.
Explore the world's largest continuous caldera, the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. This unique area, established in 1959, is home to incredible wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, wildebeests, zebras, and the rare black rhino. Witness the harmonious coexistence of wildlife and semi-nomadic Maasai herders. Journey through spectacular scenery en route to Serengeti with game drives along the way.
Start your morning with a game drive through the iconic Serengeti, where vast savannahs stretch endlessly. Witness one of earth's most impressive wildlife spectacles—the Great Migration—with over a million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, and predators like hyenas, lions, and cheetahs. Have opportunities to spot the Big Five. In the afternoon, journey to the serene Lake Natron for a beautiful sundowner by the water's edge, combining thrilling wildlife encounters with peaceful beauty.
Explore the unique landscape of Lake Natron, a salt and alkaline lake that serves as the primary breeding ground for 2.5 million lesser flamingos in East Africa. Embark on a thrilling 3 to 4-hour hike with a Maasai guide, visiting the flamingo breeding grounds and nearby waterfalls. Navigate river crossings, stunning gorges, and enjoy a refreshing swim at the waterfall. Return to Arusha, reflecting on unforgettable wildlife encounters and landscapes of Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Lake Natron.
Explore the vibrant city of Arusha, the third-largest city in Tanzania and hub of Tanzanian tourism. Visit iconic landmarks including the Clock Tower and Maasai Market, and explore the lively weekly market to immerse yourself in local life and culture. This marks the end of your unforgettable 7-day adventure through Tanzania's natural wonders.
