Serengeti
A private safari focused entirely on the Ndutu area's calving season — predators hunting among the herds, newborn wildebeest calves, and a full-day descent into Ngorongoro Crater to close the trip. Best timed for the migration's calving months (roughly December–March).
Tap a day to expand it.
Early Morning Pickup and Drive – You'll be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha and begin your scenic drive toward the southern Serengeti, specifically the Ndutu area. Enjoy the countryside views as your professional driver-guide shares information about the region and the extraordinary wildlife spectacle you're about to witness. Arrival and Afternoon Game Drive – Upon arrival in the Ndutu area, famous for the Great Migration during February to March, begin exploring this exceptional ecosystem. Millions of wildebeest gather here during calving season, creating an unprecedented concentration of wildlife. Millions of wildebeest stay here to give birth, and they're accompanied by predators—cheetahs, lions, jackals, and more—who follow the migration as a food source. Picnic Lunch – Enjoy a packed lunch in the Ndutu area, surrounded by the remarkable landscape and active wildlife. Take time to observe the migration herds and photograph the stunning scenery. Evening and Overnight – Head to your tented campsite in the late afternoon, settle in, enjoy dinner, and rest for your early morning start tomorrow. Accommodation: Safari Haven Serengeti | Meals: Lunch (packed), Dinner Distance: Approximately 5-6 hours from Arusha
Early Morning Game Drive – Wake before dawn for an early morning game drive exploring the Serengeti when animals are most active. You may witness the dramatic spectacle of predators hunting—lions stalking prey, cheetahs pursuing gazelles, and other wildlife engaged in natural behaviors. This is often the best time for big cat sightings and action-packed wildlife photography. Full Breakfast – Return to camp for a hot, full breakfast to refuel for your day of adventure. Continued Game Drives – After breakfast, continue your exploration of central Serengeti and the Ndutu area. Witness the millions of wildebeest migration across the short-grass plains, often heavily populated with elephants, birds, and resident game species. Search for predators that follow the migration, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, jackals, and hyenas. Picnic Lunch – Enjoy lunch in the bush, surrounded by the migration herds and Serengeti's vast landscapes. Use this rest period for photography and wildlife observation. Afternoon Game Drive – Continue exploring in the afternoon as you slowly transition from central Serengeti toward the Ndutu area in the south, where the majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found from December to April. Evening at Camp – Return to your tented camp for dinner and overnight rest. Accommodation: Safari Haven Serengeti | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (picnic), Dinner
Early Morning Game Drive – Begin your day with an early morning game drive exploring the real migration spectacle found in the Ndutu area. Witness thousands of wildebeest with their young calves, predators hunting, and the dramatic interactions of this natural ecosystem at its peak. Full Breakfast – Return to camp for a hearty breakfast and prepare for your day ahead. Continued Game Drives in Ndutu – After breakfast, continue your exploration of the Ndutu area with unlimited game drives. Observe the migration herds, search for big cats and other predators, and enjoy the exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities that make this region world-famous. Picnic Lunch Overlooking the Migration – Enjoy your lunch while overlooking the massive migration herds spread across the short-grass plains. This peaceful moment allows you to absorb the incredible sight of millions of animals in their natural habitat. Drive to Ngorongoro – In the late afternoon, depart the Serengeti and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you ascend the highlands, enjoy scenic views and watch the landscape transform. Arrive at your lodge for dinner and overnight rest. Accommodation: Marera Valley Lodge | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (picnic), Dinner Distance: Approximately 3-4 hours
Early Breakfast – After breakfast, prepare for your descent into one of Africa's most magnificent natural wonders. Crater Descent and Full-Day Game Drive – Descend 600 meters into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive exploring this densely populated wildlife area. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world, home to an estimated 30,000 animals. Supported by a year-round water supply and abundant fodder, the crater supports vast varieties of animals. Big Five and Diverse Wildlife – Search for the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and Tanzania's last remaining black rhinos. The crater also hosts herds of wildebeest, zebras, eland, warthogs, hippos, and giant African elephants. The huge predator population includes lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard. Picnic Lunch at Scenic Location – Enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater, surrounded by stunning scenery and active wildlife. Use this time for rest, photography, and wildlife observation. Afternoon Departure – In the late afternoon, ascend from the crater and begin your scenic drive back to Arusha. Your driver-guide will reflect on your incredible 4-day safari experiences. Return to Arusha – Arrive in Arusha for overnight accommodation, or connect with your onward flight to your next destination. Accommodation: Mosho Nohillside Lodge | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch (picnic) Distance: Approximately 3-4 hours
