A Tanzania company, not a booking layer

See the country with people who know it from the inside.

We plan from Arusha, where many northern Tanzania journeys begin. That changes the conversation. We know the seasons, the roads, the distances, the quiet corners and when an itinerary looks good on paper but will feel rushed in real life.

"You are not a booking reference. You are our guest."

100% locally owned & guided

The people planning and delivering your journey live here, in Arusha — not a marketing layer.

Made around you

Dates, pace, interests, comfort and budget shape the route instead of one fixed package.

Direct access

WhatsApp and real human contact before, during and after the journey — not a ticket number.

Clear pricing

No middleman layers or surprise extras.

You want Tanzania to feel personal, not packaged.

You want a local operator

We’re planned and delivered from Arusha — not routed through an overseas booking desk that’s never seen the road to Ngorongoro.

You want room to change the itinerary

Weather shifts, a park has an off day, you fall for one camp and want an extra night — your route adjusts. It doesn’t lock on day one.

You prefer direct communication

Message your planner on WhatsApp before you land, mid-safari, or three months after you’re home — you’re texting a person, not opening a ticket.

You care where your money goes

Book direct and your money funds a Tanzanian-owned team on the ground — not a booking layer taking its cut an ocean away.

You want safari + mountain + beach coordinated together

Summit Kilimanjaro, then unwind in Zanzibar, with a safari in between — one team hands you off between chapters instead of three separate bookings.

Made in Arusha

The people behind the journey should be part of the story.

TanzaLux is positioned around local ownership for a reason. Travellers should meet the knowledge, character and hospitality of Tanzania through the team — from the person helping shape the route to the guide reading the landscape each morning.

"Luxury is not distance from the destination. It is better access to it."

Before you travel

Useful answers before the first email.

Practical confidence is part of a premium travel experience.

When is the best time to visit Tanzania?

June to October is the classic dry-season window for easy wildlife viewing. November and December bring short rains, green scenery and fewer crowds. Different months also correspond to different stages of the Great Migration.

Can TanzaLux combine safari, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar?

Yes. TanzaLux is positioned across safari, trekking and Zanzibar, allowing a single local team to coordinate multiple chapters of a Tanzania journey.

Are safaris private?

TanzaLux offers private routes as well as joining safari options among the listed tours. Private safaris allow more flexibility in pace and daily timing.

Do I need a visa?

Most visitors do. Visa rules depend on nationality and can change, so always check Tanzania’s official immigration guidance before you travel.

What should I pack?

Light neutral layers, comfortable closed shoes, sun protection, insect repellent, binoculars, camera batteries and a light jacket for cool mornings are practical safari basics.
