Morning Pickup and Drive – You'll be picked up from your accommodation in Arusha and begin your scenic drive to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy the countryside views as your professional driver-guide shares information about the region's culture and ecology. Full-Day Tarangire Game Drive – Upon arrival at Tarangire National Park, begin a guided game drive exploring the park's stunning landscapes. Tarangire is renowned for its famous ancient baobab trees and the largest herds of elephants in Tanzania. Keep an eye out for lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and a wide variety of birdlife as they roam across open plains and riverine habitats. Your experienced guide will maximize your wildlife viewing opportunities, adjusting routes based on real-time animal sightings. Scenic Picnic Lunch – Around midday, enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside Tarangire National Park. Surrounded by stunning views and active wildlife, take this opportunity to rest, photograph, and reflect on your morning's discoveries. Afternoon Wildlife Viewing – Continue your afternoon game drive exploring additional areas of the park. Different times of day often bring different animal activity patterns, increasing your chances of diverse wildlife encounters. Transfer to Ngorongoro Lodge – After your game drive, depart Tarangire and head to your comfortable lodge or tented camp located near Ngorongoro Crater. Early Breakfast and Crater Descent – After breakfast at your lodge, head to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's greatest natural wonders. Descend 600 meters into this spectacular crater, the world's largest intact caldera, home to approximately 30,000 large mammals. Half-Day Crater Game Drive – Embark on a thrilling half-day game drive exploring the crater floor's diverse ecosystem. The Big Five—lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and the rare black rhino—are frequently spotted here. You'll also encounter hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and over 500 bird species. The crater's compact size and high wildlife concentration offer exceptional viewing opportunities and excellent photography possibilities. Picnic Lunch at Hippo Pool – Enjoy a picnic lunch near the scenic Hippo Pool, a prime location to observe hippos and other wildlife coming to drink and bathe. The breathtaking crater scenery surrounding your lunch creates an unforgettable dining experience in the heart of African wilderness. Ascent and Return Drive – After lunch and additional wildlife viewing, ascend from the crater floor and begin your scenic drive back to Arusha. Your driver-guide will share final insights about your safari experiences and answer any remaining questions about Tanzanian wildlife and conservation. Hotel or Airport Drop-off – Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your 2-day classic safari adventure. An experienced local driver-guide who handles navigation, wildlife spotting, and park logistics throughout the trip, and speaks fluent English.
Bottled drinking water is stocked in the vehicle for every game drive, at no extra cost.
Government taxes, VAT and standard service charges are already built into your quoted price.
Flights to and from Tanzania are not included — we can recommend routes and airlines on request.
We require all travelers to carry their own travel insurance, including emergency medical evacuation cover — not included in the trip price.
Most nationalities need a Tanzania visa, available on arrival or online in advance — the fee is not included in the trip price.
Soft drinks and bottled water are included; alcoholic beverages are available at extra cost where offered.
Tipping your driver-guide and camp staff is customary but discretionary, and not included in the trip price.
Souvenirs, personal shopping and other individual spending money aren't included.
Anything beyond what's in your itinerary — an extra activity you add on the ground — is priced separately.

You can obtain this visa either online or on arrival. Typically, it takes 3-5 days to get your visa approved online. However, if your trip starts in less than a week, we recommend opting for the on-arrival visa. To avoid issues with POS machines, bring $50 in cash.
East African Community citizens travel visa-free. Other reciprocal exceptions may apply — always confirm the exact requirement for your passport on the official portal above before booking flights.
